Description
4-way Diverter Plug Valve, also called General Valve Four-Way achieves positive sealing without line pressure or external hydraulic pressure.Its seals are made of highly resilient elastomers and are either bonded or mechanically retained in the seating elements (slips). Prior to cycling, the slips retract away from the valve body to prevent friction and abrasion that could damage the seals. As a result, the seals never slide or rub against the valve body or ports.
Metal-to-metal secondary sealing prevents overcompression of the resilient primary seal. Mechanical retraction and compression ensure leak-free stream separation and extended valve life.
