I. Industry Requirements: Enhancing Pipeline Operational Safety
In the petroleum, chemical, and oil/gas transportation industries, pipelines have long faced issues such as fluid leakage and pressure abnormalities. Pipeline failures may impair equipment operation or pose major safety hazards. Traditional valves are prone to degraded sealing performance after prolonged service. The valve core does not make direct contact with sealing components during rotation, minimizing wear on sealing parts and extending the valve’s service life. When the valve is fully closed, the valve core expands outward and presses against the upstream and downstream seals, ensuring tight fitting with the valve body to form double-layer sealing protection. The valve maintains superior sealing performance even with fluctuating pipeline pressure, and this design effectively curbs fluid leakage.
III. Release Testing: Facilitating Equipment Maintenance
The DBB Plug Valve is equipped with a central relief port, which functions to verify valve sealing integrity and release internal cavity pressure. When a minor leak occurs in the upstream seal, the medium enters the valve cavity. By opening the relief port, operators can discharge the trapped medium and residual pressure from the cavity. If the pressure remains stable after discharge, the sealing condition can be confirmed as normal. This design prevents cross-contamination of different media and allows technicians to perform maintenance under pressure-free conditions, significantly improving maintenance safety.IV. Pressure Protection: Preventing Thermal Expansion-induced Equipment Damage
When ambient temperature fluctuates, residual medium trapped in the valve cavity may expand, causing a rise in internal cavity pressure that compromises normal valve operation. The DBB Plug Valve is fitted with both automatic and manual pressure relief functions. When the cavity pressure exceeds the safe threshold, the valve releases excess pressure in a timely manner. This function prevents seal and valve body damage caused by overpressure, ensuring stable operation of the entire pipeline system.

The DBB Plug Valve is designed and manufactured in compliance with API 6D and API 607 industry standards. It is equipped with a fire-resistant backup sealing structure and anti-loosening valve stem, enabling reliable operation in harsh working conditions such as high temperature and severe vibration.
